The MEA Mentorship Program is a structured endeavor designed for MEA scholars to provide guidance, valuable insights, personalized advice, and emotional support throughout their academic journey. It aims to create a nurturing and inspiring environment that cultivates growth, learning, and academic excellence, thereby assisting scholars in achieving their academic and professional goals.

Provide Guidance, Valuable Insights, Personalized Advice, and Emotional Support to MEA scholars as they navigate their career journey
Empower
Empower students and support their personal and professional development. Offer advice, encouragement, and assistance to help students overcome personal obstacles and navigate challenging situations.
Connect
Assist students in building professional networks, connecting them with industry professionals, alumni, and potential mentors.
Guiding Principles
The program is founded upon seven guiding principles, which play a pivotal role in shaping its direction and ensuring the attainment of desired outcomes while remaining steadfast to its core values.
Establish Trust
Provide Guidance and SupportBuild the supportive, caring and comfortable environment for students to start sharing their concerns, challenges, goals, etc
Provide Guidance and Support
Offer guidance, advice, and resources to support students in their personal and academic development. Empower students to become independent, confident, and successful individuals to fulfill their career obligations
Active Listening
Pay close attention to what the student is saying, both verbally and non-verbally even though we unable to solve all their problems
Encourage Self-Reflection
Help them analyze their strengths, weaknesses, values, and interests. Guide them in setting realistic goals and developing strategies to overcome obstacles.
Guidance on building Networks
Encourage them to seek out mentors, join professional associations, and participate in networking events to expand their opportunities. Advise mentees to utilize all help from the institution on academic, soft skill development, clubs, and campus placement cells.
Providing Constructive Feedback
Offer constructive feedback that is specific, timely, and focused on growth. Balance positive reinforcement with suggestions for improvement. Help students develop resilience and learn from failures or setbacks.
Be an advocate
Connect with scholarship coordinator in case of any issues related to scholarships or need to connect with other mentors to clarify queries from students
