The Malayalee Engineers’ Association (MEA) of Houston, TX, is a professional, nonprofit and nonpolitical organization of engineering graduates of Malayalee origin. The organization provides a forum to professionally and socially interact, discuss topics of mutual interest and concerns, engage in charitable activities, and find ways to promote organizational growth. In addition, MEA, through its scholarship initiative, provides financial assistance to economically backward and academically brilliant undergraduate engineering students in India.

Scholarship

MEA Houston has been awarding scholarships annually to selected students since 2000.

Donation

A donation of $2,400 will fund scholarship for an engineering student for 4 years.

Membership

MEA membership requires a nominal annual fee of $50 for family and additional discounted rates for students.

MEA Onam

MEA celebrates Onam in the traditional Kerala way, including welcoming Maveli, performing the thiruvathira kali dance, and enjoying a grand sadya feast. This festive event brings the community together to honor the rich cultural heritage of Kerala.

MEA Fusion Fest

Scholarship

MEA Scholarship

MEA scholarship is intended for students with a proven academic record but with financial hardships that may prevent them from continuing their professional college education.MEA is an association of Malayalee engineers living in the Greater Houston area in Texas, USA. The association is offering scholarships for students of Kerala origin to pursue engineering/ technology/ computer science, architecture, or naval architecture studies leading to a bachelor’s degree.

Award of Scholarship shall be based on the academic merit and financial hardship of the applicant.

Ways You Can Donate

Any person wishing to contribute funds to the MEA Scholarship Program can use the following methods:

Please use this form to make a donation.
Monetary contribution in any amount by check/online.
Sponsor scholarships in honor or memory of a special
person or occasion.
Multi-year pledge to contribute a fixed amount every
year for 4 years or more.
Participate in Corporate charitable gift programs individually or by pooling funds from several employees
and utilize Corporate Matching Gift policy.
Supporting MEA’s fund raising programs.
