With over two decades of active participation in the Greater Houston community, the Malayalee Engineers’ Association (MEA) has become the go-to organization for networking, collaboration, and vibrant social events for engineering professionals and their families. MEA provides a welcoming space where individuals can build lasting connections, exchange innovative ideas, and strengthen their professional and personal networks.

Beyond networking, MEA takes immense pride in its charitable initiatives that create a meaningful impact both locally and globally. One of our hallmark programs is the MEA Scholarship Fund, which supports talented and underprivileged engineering students in India. This initiative not only offers financial assistance but also provides mentorship and career guidance to ensure the scholars’ long-term success.

Who can become a member?

MEA membership shall be open to all engineering graduates of Malayalee origin, who have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, computer science, naval architecture or architecture and are residents of USA.

Spouses and dependent children of the members are entitled to participate in activities of MEA. The Board of Directors shall admit new members as per the qualifying criteria, and shall maintain records of membership. By becoming a member, the individual agrees to obey the Bylaws and to serve MEA and its members.

How to become a member?

MEA has a nominal fee of $50 per year to become a member. This fee will entitle you to be a part of the vibrant MEA group of Houston. Spouse membership is $25. Students presently in universities (or just graduated and not working) can become a member at a discounted rate of $10 per year.

There are many ways to become a member of MEA Houston:

  • Register and pay the membership fee online using the form below.
  • You can drop in at one of the MEA organized events and pay the membership fee using credit/debit card, check or cash.

Membership term is from 01-March to end of February. Members will have to renew the membership every year by visiting this page. There is no automatic renewal at this time.
